Abstract
This article examines the integration of autonomous driving and sustainable mobility, highlighting Turkey and Spain as key players in leveraging advanced technologies to address environmental, road safety, and efficiency challenges. Autonomous driving is presented as a solution to reduce accidents and optimize traffic through AI and sensors, while sustainable mobility, focusing on electric vehicles and alternative fuels, combats climate change and supports global sustainability goals.
Key initiatives such as Turkey’s TOGG and Spain’s AUTOCITS showcase each country’s leadership in innovation. A comparative analysis of regulations identifies shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration, emphasizing alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The study advocates for clear regulations and international cooperation to advance safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility, setting a global example for transformative transportation systems.
